SciTech GLDirect

SciTech GLDirect is a compatibility layer that enables OpenGL-based applications and games to run on Windows PCs by translating OpenGL calls into Microsoft Direct3D. Developed by SciTech Software, Inc., it was designed for systems whose graphics drivers lack robust, native OpenGL support, improving compatibility and, in some cases, performance—without requiring changes to the original application.
